2026 Sponsorship Opportunities
Celebrate 10 Years of Impact with us!
Let's Make an Impact Together!
Our story is one of intentional collaboration, where relationships and trust are our most valuable currency. The NWI Food Council (NWIFC) formed from a 2016 gathering of 80 community members seeking food systems change, meaningful collaboration and a cohesive vision for the future of food for our region. Our board is composed of committed activist volunteers who live and work in NW Indiana, and represent diverse backgrounds and worldviews. After early successes with community-based listening sessions and educational events, we knew our greatest asset is our ability to cultivate connections–that we could build a transformational food system built on solidarity and not extraction. We are so excited to celebrate our 10 year anniversary this year!
Our mission is to cultivate a just, thriving and regenerative food system for all in NW Indiana. We envision a local food system where everyone has affordable access to nutritious food that is grown by regional producers using regenerative practices. We work towards collaboration, healthy ecosystems, equity and resiliency for all in NW Indiana.

Food is Medicine Farm Hop (Friday, June 26, 2026) or Farm to School Farm Hop (Friday, September 25, 2026): One of our most popular events! Open to the public, where 100+ attendees–mostly practitioners and community leaders–spend the day on private tours of multiple small farms, meeting community partner leaders and enjoying farm-to-table lunch experiences.
Tomato Fest - NEW! (Sunday, September 20, 2026): As NWIFC grows, we will be launching more community-focused events where the public can come and enjoy farm-fresh products, experience the difference in flavors, and connect with local farmers. Expected 300+ attendees of all ages, 20+ vendors, and a broad reach on social and print media (10,000+). In partnership with Lake County Parks. and Recreation. Held at Deep River County Park.
10th Anniversary Benefit (Thursday, November 12, 2026): Our biggest fundraiser of the year, with over 200 attendees at County Line Orchard, mostly representing community leaders, practitioners, and philanthropists dedicated to food systems initiatives. Large live auction, extravagant farm-to-table bites, and a program celebrating farmers in attendance.
